A LIST OF NAMES IDENTIFIED

Well, the call went out to students to think of some new names for the blog, and half a dozen of you answered with some terrific ideas. Special Thanks to TIFFANY, DIANE, and KAMILLE for giving it some real thought and giving us lots of creative possibilities. I haven’t included all your suggestions, but I tried to keep the best ones.

Look at all the possibilities and pick your three favorites. Comment on this post and make sure to include your votes. Voting ends Friday. Ok, now go and DISCUSS!

  4. Tiffany, Why not keep the voting to the blog. Those who use the blog should have more say than those who don't.

  7. Oh yeah. I have the same question as Tiffany: Are we going to vote for the blog's name in class, too? That would be cool.

  8. Kamille, since Tiffany and you helped so much by thinking of new names we can vote on them in class. Originally I thought students should do all their voting on the blog - as a way to direct students to the site and participate.

Which would you girls prefer, voting online or voting in class?

  9. I think we should stick to voting in the blog. Like Mr. Harris said, "Those who use the blog should have more say than those who don't." Those who don't participate in the blog probably aren't interested. However, voting in class might be a good idea because we barely have any voters. So far, only 3 people voted (me, Kamille, Beatrice). If more voters come onto the blog, I don't think voting in class would be necessary. If there aren't many voters on the blog, I think we should vote in class.

  10. Ok Mr.Harris, thanks! Tiffany, that's true. Maybe we should stick to voting through the blog. Only three of us voted (Tiffany, Beatrice, and myself), and there appears to be a tie for the original name "The Social Studies Space" and "The History Café". Should we vote in class for the tie breaker?

  12. Doesn't voting end today? There is a tie between "The Social Studies Space" and "The History Café". Which name will win?
